There’s some upcoming performances of a show I’ve made called An Icy Man. I made it with the support of West Yorkshire Playhouse, and I’m going to be performing it as part of Vault Festival in London.
It’s a storytelling show, in which the audience gathers around a miniature model of a
snowbound village. It draws on northern folklore, myths and legends but I think at heart it’s kind of ghost story.
The show is on at 9:15pm from Wednesday 25th to Sunday the 1st and there are matinee
performances on the weekend at 4:45pm.
There’s some more information about the show on the festival website here. There’s also information about how to book.
I think it’s a lovely show and I’d be really pleased if you’d like to come along.
Here is what some people have said about it:
“…saw Matthew Bellwood perform An Icy Man & it was intricate, a bit creepy, romantic and melancholy, and loved theatre all over again”
” An Icy Man – wonderful, magical, moving. I haven’t been so absorbed in a performance for a long time”
