Saturday 19th March – Theatre Uncut Event

Just a quick post to let you know about an event I’m involved with this Saturday. Myself and some others will be performing a short selection of plays and sketches in response to the government’s current savaging of the public sector.

The event is part of Theatre Uncut – a nationwide programme of drama events which will be happening simultaneously at venues across the country.

I’ll be performing in a short drama by Dennis Kelly called Things That Make No Sense. There’ll be various other little scenes and sketches and also a chance to make some badges and banners. We’ll be photographing these to put on this rather spiffy website: http://virtualprotest.org.uk/ which was created by folks involved with Anti-Cuts Leeds.

There’ll also be tea and coffee and probably some beers etc.

It’s taking place at: Inkwell (formerly the Shoulder of Mutton pub), 31 Potternewton Lane, Leeds LS7 3LW. Events start at 7:30pm. It’s a FREE event, but donations are welcome for Leeds Mind.

There’s some more info at www.theatreuncut.co.uk and for those of you who like that sort of thing, it’s on Facebook under Theatre Uncut Leeds.

Would be great to see you there,

Matthew x
